We received the mandatory NOC from the Govt of Kerala in June 2012. We have since been affiliated to CBSE Delhi (AFF . NO. 930978). Presently, the affiliation is to conduct classes up to X std. Ours is a non-commercial venture. Our aim is to provide quality education to the rural children with a view to attract them to Defence services. We honestly try to imbibe and develop the noble qualities of secularism, national spirit, exemplary character and discipline among the young students. Great emphasis is laid on developing their overall personality through various extra and co curricular activities.
First and third Saturdays are exclusively earmarked for Club and Battalion (House) activities and first and third Friday's extra curricular activities which include-
Dance, Vocal music, various instrumental music, Yoga, Martial arts, Band and creative writing in English and Malayalam. A student should compulsorily opt for any two items which may be changed to suit his or her aptitude in the course of time.
We have a reasonably good fiction and reference library and a reading room. Facility exists for outdoor game such as Football, Cricket, Volley ball, Basket ball and Shuttle badminton, spacious playgrounds are our assets.
Well-equipped computer, Science and Maths laboratories are existing.
Admission:- We restrict admission to 35-40 students in a class. Admission is to open all with priority to the wards of retired and serving Defence personnel. 25% seats are earmarked for the wards of economically weaker section. Admission is carried out during the month of Feb/march.
Academic year:- 01 June to 31 march with summer vacation during April and May.
Examination schedule:- Strictly follows the guidelines from the CBSE.
Military Ethos:- All our Scholastic and non scholastic activities are planned and executed within the frame work of military ethos. As we move in to Xth std, we are conducting coaching classes to help the students to join the Defence forces both as officers and non officers.
